Whitefish is 10-0 against Lincoln County since December of 2016, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Whitefish Bulldogs will be staying on the road to face off against the Lincoln County Lions at 7:30 p.m. on December 19th. Both teams come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Saturday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Whitefish beat Custer County 54-50.
Meanwhile, Lincoln County waltzed into their game Thursday with two straight wins but they left with three. They strolled past Libby with points to spare, taking the game 55-39. Given Lincoln County's advantage in MaxPreps' Montana basketball rankings (they are ranked 11th, while Libby is ranked 67th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Braden Casazza was the offensive standout of the match as he scored 20 points along with nine rebounds and five blocks. That makes it three consecutive games in which he has scored at least 25% of Lincoln County's points. Another player making a difference was Parker Bates, who scored 11 points.
Whitefish's record now sits at 3-1. Lincoln County's record now sits at 3-0.
