Last Saturday, Anderson Prep Academy didn't have too much trouble with Hamilton at home as they won 39-20.
Anderson Prep Academy found their leader in underclassman Arianna Flowers, who scored 15 points along with 6 rebounds and 5 steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaylynn Orr, who scored 11 points along with 9 rebounds.
Meanwhile, University beat Brebeuf Jesuit Preparatory 54-42 last Tuesday. The win was just what University needed coming off of a 68-18 defeat in their prior match.
University's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Hannah Grubbs, who scored 16 points along with 8 rebounds. Mackenzie Feeney was another key contributor, scoring 4 points along with 15 rebounds and 5 blocks.
Eastern's win bumped their season record to 0-0 while Anderson Prep Academy's defeat dropped theirs to 3-2.
Keep an eye on the arc in Thursday's contest: Anderson Prep Academy have been dynamite from deep this season, having only made 30.8% of their threes per game. It's a different story for University, though, as they've only nailed 14.3% of theirs this season.
