Calaveras is a perfect 10-0 against Argonaut since May of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Calaveras Red Hawks will square off against the Argonaut Mustangs at 4:00 p.m. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
On Tuesday, Calaveras sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 win over Escalon. The Red Hawks haven't had any issues with the Cougars recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

The team relied heavily on Brynn Gardina, who scored a run and stole Two bases. while going 1-for-2. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in stolen bases. The team also got some help courtesy of Emma Clark, who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.
Calaveras hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Escalon struck out 17 times.
Meanwhile, everything went Argonaut's way against Cordova on Monday as Argonaut made off with a 21-4 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Mustangs.
Hailey Dewald made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over six innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off eight hits (and only one walk). Dewald was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two RBI and one double.
In other batting news, Argonaut let Gia Stone and Bri Bowers run wild. Stone went a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, six RBI, and four runs, while Bowers scored four runs and stole a base while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances. Bowers is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: she's snagged at least one every time she's taken the field this season. AJ Schultz was another key player, getting on base in three of her five plate appearances with five RBI, two runs, and one double.
The victory got Calaveras back to even at 1-1. As for Argonaut, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
Calaveras took their win against Argonaut in their previous matchup back in May of 2024 by a conclusive 10-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for Calaveras since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
