Llano and Blanco are an even 5-5 against one another since February of 2018, but likely not for long. The Llano Yellowjackets will be playing at home against the Blanco Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The two teams are strolling into their matches after big wins in their previous games.
Llano barely beat Comfort the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. Llano blew past Comfort 17-1 on Monday. With that win, the Yellowjackets brought their scoring average up to 6.5 runs per game.

Jayme Duroy was a major factor no matter where she played. She tossed four innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. Duroy was also big at the plate, scoring three runs while going 3-for-4. That's the most hits she has posted since back in February.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Emilie Clopton, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, six RBI, and four runs. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Karli Wyatt, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with five RBI, one stolen base, and one run.
Llano kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 16 hits. That's a new trend for them: they were averaging 5.2 hits per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 games they've averaged 9.6.
Meanwhile, Blanco came tearing into Tuesday's contest with 11 straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5 runs), and they left with even more momentum. Everything went their way against the Warriors as they made off with a 32-9 victory. The Panthers' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.
Blanco pushed their record up to 15-2 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 16.0 runs over those games. As for Llano, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-12.
Llano was able to grind out a solid win over Blanco in their previous matchup back in March of 2024, winning 11-7. Will Llano repeat their success, or does Blanco have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
