The Armwood Hawks will face off against the Bloomingdale Bulls at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Armwood will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings (they are ranked 590th, while the Bulls are ranked 246th).
Armwood scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They claimed a resounding 82-35 victory over Brandon on the road. That 47 point margin sets a new team best for Armwood this season.
Talon Mckinnie continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 13 points along with eight steals and seven assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaberry Nereus, who scored 15 points.
Meanwhile, Bloomingdale came tearing into Friday's match with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9.6 points) and they left with even more momentum. They managed a 45-40 victory over Sickles.
The victory makes it two in a row for Armwood and bumps their season record up to 7-17. Bloomingdale's record now sits at 18-7.
Armwood came up short against the Bulls when the teams last played last Wednesday, falling 54-49. Can Armwood avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
