Kerman has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will square off against the Kennedy Thunderbirds at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in California (Kerman is ranked 263rd, while Kennedy is ranked 283rd).
Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Kerman walked away with it. In a tight game that could have gone either way, they made off with a 30-29 win over Golden West.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Kerman to victory, but perhaps none more so than Adam Delgado, who picked up 110 receiving yards and a touchdown. Another player making a difference was Adrian Torres, who threw for 155 yards and a touchdown.
Meanwhile, Kennedy stacked a seventh blowout onto their ever-increasing hoard on Friday. They put the hurt on Santa Ynez with a sharp 42-21 win. 42 seems to be a good number for Kennedy as the squad scooped up a victory with the same number of points in their previous game.
Jace Demacabalin was his usual excellent self, rushing for 151 yards and three touchdowns. Demacabalin is absolutely dominating the rushing touchdown category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the field this season. Kennedy also got a significant boost from Damian Flores, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 85 yards.
Kerman now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Kennedy, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-2.
Kerman suffered a grim 33-7 defeat to Kennedy in their previous matchup back in November of 2022. Thankfully for Kerman, Gamiez Helm (who rushed for 233 yards and two touchdowns on only 14 carries) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
