Rainier were the big favorite in their most recent match, and for good reason. Everything went their way against Dayton on Friday as they made off with a 32-8 victory. That result was just more of the same for Rainier, who also won the last time these teams played.
Rainier got off to a sluggish start, posting zero total points in the first half. Dayton couldn't get anything started offensively, either, which meant the halftime score sat untouched at 0-0. The offense for Rainier put that tie to bed by coming up with 32 points in the second half to win the game. They added further sheen to their flawless record, now 6-0. The loss dropped Dayton's record to 2-4.
Next week Rainier take on Amity at 7:00 PM. As for Dayton, they will face off against Clatskanie.
