Basketball Recap: College Park Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

College Park had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They were the clear victor by a 75-53 margin over the Ukiah Wildcats on Friday. The Falcons have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matchups by 22 points or more this season.

College Park's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Miles Cooper, who posted 19 points along with five rebounds and three steals. Steven Barnett was another key player, putting up 14 points along with seven rebounds and six assists.

College Park was working as a unit and finished the game with 22 assists. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their assist total in four consecutive contests.

Ukiah's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Jacob Lunceford, who went 5 of 11 on his way to 13 points, and Dareon Dorsey, who had 12 points and eight rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Zach Martinez, who put up six points and seven rebounds.

College Park now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Ukiah, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-10.

College Park didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 68-64 loss against Santa Rosa on the 28th. As for Ukiah, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 58-40 defeat against Terra Linda on the 28th.
