The North Port Bobcats posted their closest win yet this season on Friday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Lemon Bay 55-52. The victory made it back-to-back wins for North Port.
North Port found their leader in underclassman Taylor Davidson, who scored 24 points along with eight rebounds and four blocks. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Davidson has scored all season. Gabby McFarlane was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with six rebounds.
North Port is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 8-11 record this season. As for Lemon Bay, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-11.
North Port will head out on the road to square off against Venice at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Venice is coming into the contest hot, having won their last five games. As for Lemon Bay, they will be playing at home against Aubrey Rogers at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
