The Vestaburg Wolverines will face off against the Harrison Hornets at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Harrison took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Vestaburg, who comes in off a win.
Vestaburg is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They never let Marion get on the board and left with a 17-0 victory on Monday. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest win of the season.

Jansen Scholer
| 05/04/26 @ Marion | 5 |
| 04/27/26 vs Merrill | 2 |
| 04/20/26 @ Webberville | 2 |
| 04/17/26 vs Montabella | 2 |
| 05/16/25 vs Fulton | 2 |
Jansen Scholer made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out six over four innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Vestaburg is 3-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 4-10 otherwise. Scholer was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with five RBI, one run, and one double. Those five RBI gave him a new career-high.
In other batting news, Vestaburg got a massive performance out of Colton Halgren, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with three runs, three RBI, and one triple. Halgren has become a key player for the Wolverines: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 5-10 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Carter Allbee, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one double.
Meanwhile, Harrison came up short against St. Louis on Thursday and fell 11-8. The Hornets haven't had much luck with the Sharks recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.
Matthew Latunski was cooking despite his team's loss, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one triple. That triple marked the first that he has hit this season. Josh O'Day was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs.
Vestaburg's victory bumped their record up to 7-11. As for Harrison, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-17.
Vestaburg couldn't quite get it done against Harrison in their previous meeting back in April of 2016 as they fell 6-3. Can the Wolverines avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
