Hough has gone 7-1 against Myers Park recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Huskies will be playing at home against the Mustangs at 4:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Hough took a loss when they played away from home on Thursday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They never let Hopewell get on the board and left with a 6-0 victory.
Payton Elwell was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out 14 over seven innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in March. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one home run.

In other batting news, Amie Reinhart and Aubrey Martin did most of the damage at the plate: Reinhart went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run, while Martin went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base. That's the most hits Martin has posted since back in March.
Myers Park never got on the board in their matchup on Friday, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against Garinger on Monday. They blew past the Wildcats 18-0.
Myers Park got a massive performance out of Regan Godman, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Sally McDonald, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI.
Myers Park always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .708. They are a perfect 5-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
Hough is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That somehow still isn't as good as their 17-5 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.5 runs over those games. As for Myers Park, their victory bumped their record up to 6-13.
Tuesday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Hough hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .350. However, it's not like Myers Park struggles in that department as they've averaged .326. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Hough got the 'W' when the teams last played on Tuesday against Myers Park by a conclusive 14-4 score. Do the Huskies have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Mustangs turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
