The Guardian Christian Academy Royal Knights's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss. They took a 59-55 hit to the loss column at the hands of Veritas School. Guardian Christian Academy has struggled against Veritas School recently, as their game on Friday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Despite the loss, Guardian Christian Academy saw an underclassman step up: Aaron Kuhn scored 17 points along with six rebounds and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Carl Walls, who scored 13 points along with six rebounds and four steals.
Guardian Christian Academy has not been sharp recently, as they've lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-6 record this season. As for Veritas School, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-7.
Guardian Christian Academy will face off against James River HomeSchool at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. As for Veritas School, Veritas School and Rise Academy will face off at 6:30 p.m. on January 22nd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Rise Academy knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past seven matches -- so hopefully Veritas School likes a good challenge.
