Bremen took a loss when they played away from home on Thursday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Monday. They were the clear victors by a 15-0 margin over Thornton Fractional North. That 15 run margin sets a new team best for the Braves this season.
Brooke Gluszek made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over four innings pitched. Gluszek was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-4.

In other batting news, Bremen got a massive performance out of Elizabeth Ballay, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, two stolen bases, and five RBI. Those four hits gave Ballay a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Avianna Lopez, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three stolen bases, four RBI, and one triple.
Bremen always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .688. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .500 or higher in three consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, after soaring to 15 runs the game before, Blue Island Eisenhower was a bit more limited in their contest on Monday. They lost 11-1 to Shepard. The Cardinals have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Blue Island Eisenhower saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Hailey Rodriguez, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one double.
Bremen's record is now 4-5. As for Blue Island Eisenhower, they now have a losing record of 5-6.
Tuesday's game might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Bremen has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .511. However, it's not like Blue Island Eisenhower struggles in that department as they've averaged .517. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
