Lewisville is 2-8 against the Red Devils since January of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Lewisville Lions will be playing at home against the Great Falls Red Devils at 8:00 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the pair posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.
Lewisville has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They took a 64-55 hit to the loss column at the hands of McBee on Friday. That's two games in a row now that Lewisville has lost by exactly nine points.
Meanwhile, Great Falls came tearing into Thursday's matchup with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 27 points) and they left with even more momentum. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Riverwalk Academy 90-30 at home. Given Great Falls' advantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 124th, while the Lions are ranked 306th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Lewisville's defeat dropped their record down to 11-3. As for Great Falls, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season.
Lewisville came out on top in a nail-biter against the Red Devils when the teams last played back in January, sneaking past 68-66. Does Lewisville have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Red Devils turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
