Softball Recap: Beulah Now 12-2 over Last 14 Games

Beulah won the last time they faced Heart River co-op [Belfield/South Heart] and things went their way on Thursday too. The Miners were the clear victors by a 13-1 margin over the Cougars. Considering the Miners have won ten matches by more than six runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Addie Dale-Geiger was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out ten over seven innings pitched. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-5 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI she has posted over her last nine games.

In other batting news, Clara Hager and Jayda Remboldt did most of the damage at the plate: Hager went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI, while Remboldt went 2-for-4 with three runs and one double. Those three runs gave Remboldt a new career-high. Peyten Horning was another key player, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with one stolen base and one run.

Beulah has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 14 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.2 runs on average over those games. As for Heart River co-op [Belfield/South Heart], the defeat snapped their winning streak at five games and leaves them with a 5-2 record.

Coming up, Beulah will head out on the road to square off against Hazen at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Bison will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Miners surely won't give up without a fight. As for Heart River co-op [Belfield/South Heart], they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Garrison at 4:30 p.m. on the 12th.
