It was a good run, but the Hanover Central Wildcats unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell 48-41 to Kankakee Valley. Hanover Central has not had much luck with Kankakee Valley recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Several Wildcats players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Bridget Noel, who scored 5 points along with 11 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Sienna Stilley, who scored 9 points.
Hanover Central's defeat dropped their record down to 8-3. As for Kankakee Valley, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hanover Central's road trip will continue as they head out to face River Forest at 12:00 p.m. on December 9th. River Forest is coming into the matchup on a four-game losing streak. As for Kankakee Valley, they will head out on the road to face off against Hobart at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hobart will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Indiana Rankings (they are ranked 250th, while Kankakee Valley is ranked 101st).
