The Sutton Sammies's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their third straight loss. They took a serious blow against Blackstone-Millville, falling 40-6. Sutton was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 33-6.
Daniel Lawton continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Blackstone-Millville, rushing for 374 yards and four touchdowns on only 15 carries. Lawton's longest rush was for an incredible 75 yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Ethan Arzigian, who rushed for 22 yards and two touchdowns.
Sutton's defeat dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Blackstone-Millville, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 9-2 record this season.
Sutton does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Blackstone-Millville also has no future games currently scheduled.
