Cardinal Mooney secured a 61-55 W over Bradenton Christian. Winning may never get old, but Cardinal Mooney sure is getting used to it with their fifth in a row.
Cardinal Mooney got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Connor Heald out in front who scored 23 points along with six assists. Heald hasn't dropped below 15points for six straight games. Kevin O'donoghue was another key contributor, scoring 23 points.
Cardinal Mooney pushed their record up to 13-7 with that win, which was their fifth straight on the road. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.2 points per game. As for Bradenton Christian, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 14-5 record this season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cardinal Mooney will take on Braden River at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Bradenton Christian, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Lakewood Ranch at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Lakewood Ranch will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings (they are ranked 410th, while Bradenton Christian is ranked 106th).
