The Leonardtown Raiders entered their tilt with the Chopticon Braves with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Leonardtown blew past Chopticon 52-29. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win Leonardtown has posted yet this season.
Leading Leonardtown to victory were Gretchen Fleck and Abbey Robrecht. Fleck scored 12 points along with six rebounds, while Robrecht scored 21 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Robrecht has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Eva Weller, who scored four points along with seven rebounds and two blocks.
Leonardtown's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-4. As for Chopticon, their loss dropped their record down to 4-7.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Leonardtown will take on La Plata at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. La Plata will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Maryland Rankings (they are ranked 214th, while Leonardtown is ranked 83rd). As for Chopticon, they will be playing at home against Thomas Stone at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
