Dexter Southfield was the clear victor by a 15-5 margin over Phillips Exeter Academy on Wednesday. The victory continues a trend for Dexter Southfield in their matchups with Phillips Exeter Academy: they've now won five in a row.
Matthew Blanusa looked comfortable as he tossed three innings while giving up three earned runs off three hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks any time he's pitched this season.

At the plate, Seamus Condon and JT Taylor did most of the damage at the plate: Condon went a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs, while Taylor went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one triple. Those three hits gave Taylor a new career-high. Tyler Koski was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI.
Dexter Southfield was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .424. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Phillips Exeter Academy only posted a batting average of .207.
Meanwhile, Worcester Academy faced Deerfield Academy in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Hilltoppers came up short against the Big Green, falling 13-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Hilltoppers have suffered since April 13, 2024.
Worcester Academy also got a good showing from Jackson Charney, who tossed 3.1 innings while giving up just one earned (and five unearned) runs off two hits.
On the hitting side, Worcester Academy saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Taylor Reidy, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one run.
This is the second loss in a row for Worcester Academy and nudges their season record down to 9-6. As for Dexter Southfield, their win bumped their record up to 10-2.
