The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Calvary Christian Academy in their matchups with Shalom Christian Academy: they've now lost seven in a row.
Shalom Christian Academy found their leader in underclassman Maya Lehman, who scored 13 points along with six assists and five steals. Those five steals set a new season-high mark for her. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaicee Keller, who scored eight points along with seven steals.
Calvary Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Shalom Christian Academy, their victory was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-4.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Calvary Christian Academy will take on GVCS Broadfording at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Shalom Christian Academy, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Grace Academy at 6:45 p.m.
