Basketball Recap: Ludlowe Skates Past Norwalk with Ease

Ludlowe came tearing into Tuesday's matchup with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 26.8 points) and they left with even more momentum. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Norwalk Bears 69-21. The Falcons have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six contests by 21 points or more this season.

Leading Ludlowe to victory were Kate Cimador and Hayden Mcbean. Cimador posted 30 points and three steals, while Mcbean dropped a double-double on 15 points and ten boards. That makes it seven consecutive games in which Cimador has scored at least a third of Ludlowe's points. Another player making a difference was Katherine Mitchell, who put up six points.

Ludlowe smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in 11 consecutive games.

Ludlowe has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 10-2 record this season. As for Norwalk, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ludlowe will face off against St. Joseph at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Ludlowe knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past three contests -- so hopefully St. Joseph likes a good challenge. As for Norwalk, they will square off against Westhill at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
