The Northwest Christian Wolverines will head out on the road to square off against the Evergreen Lutheran Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Thursday, Northwest Christian didn't have too much trouble with Crosspoint on the road as they won 70-53. The victory was just what Northwest Christian needed coming off of a 70-32 defeat in their prior contest.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Northwest Christian to victory, but perhaps none more so than Dan Babber, who scored 25 points along with five assists. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Babber has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Kaden Lanham, who scored 19 points along with five rebounds.
Meanwhile, Evergreen Lutheran can now show off three landslide victories after their most recent match on Saturday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Crosspoint 65-30 at home. The victory was just what Evergreen Lutheran needed coming off of a 80-42 loss in their prior game.
Northwest Christian now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Evergreen Lutheran, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season.
Northwest Christian didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Evergreen Lutheran in their previous meeting back in January of 2023, but they still walked away with a 47-43 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Northwest Christian since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
