The Chickasaw Chieftains kicked off their season on the road on Monday and hit a couple of potholes. They had to suffer through a rough 74-22 loss at the hands of Bryant. Chickasaw has not had much luck with Bryant recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Madi-Marie Grayson had a dynamite game for Bryant, scoring 25 points along with 6 steals and 5 assists. That makes it four consecutive games in which Grayson has scored at least 25% of Bryant's points. Another player making a difference was Mari-Margret Grayson, who scored 21 points.
Chickasaw's defeat dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Bryant, they have yet to lose a matchup at home this season, leaving them with a 3-4 record.
Chickasaw will head out on the road to face off against Mobile Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Bryant, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Saraland at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Saraland presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Bryant in Alabama (Saraland is ranked 88th, while Bryant is ranked 209th).
