After low-scoring totals in their previous four match, Homer brought some dynamite into their most recent game. They were the clear victors by a 17-5 margin over the Union Parish Farmers on Saturday. Considering the Pelicans have won 13 contests by more than five runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

The team relied heavily on Paxton Prince, who went 3-for-4 with three runs, one triple, and one double. That's the most hits he has posted since back in March. Ray Castro was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

Homer always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .722. They are a perfect 12-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

Homer's victory ended a seven-game drought on the road and puts them at 17-13. As for Union Parish, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-14 record this season.

Homer has already played their next match, a 10-0 loss against Haynesville on the 14th. Union Parish does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
