After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Pomeroy, the Tekoa-Rosalia Timberwolves were happy to have found some success on Saturday. They came out on top against St. John-Endicott/LaCrosse by a score of 49-37. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Tekoa-Rosalia also won the last time the pair played back in February of 2023.
It was another big night for Isaac Bone, who dropped a double-double on 25 points and 12 rebounds. That makes it 13 consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Tekoa-Rosalia's points. Another player making a difference was Brian Place, who scored four points along with six rebounds and two steals.
St. John-Endicott/LaCrosse's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Landen Miller, who scored 12 points. Matthew DeFord was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
Tekoa-Rosalia's win bumped their record up to 6-7. As for St. John-Endicott/LaCrosse, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-5.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Tekoa-Rosalia will square off against Colton at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Colton is on a five-game streak of home losses, Tekoa-Rosalia a seven-game streak of away losses (dating back to last season), but someone's luck is about to change. As for St. John-Endicott/LaCrosse, they will head out on the road to take on Garfield-Palouse at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
