Softball Recap: Columbia Central Wins Going Away Against East Hickman County

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Wicksburg, Columbia Central was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They put the hurt on the East Hickman County Eagles with a sharp 14-8 win. The Lions might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six matchups by six runs or more this season.

Gabby Bolton was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. What's more, she posted two RBI, the most she's had since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Jayla Gaskey, who scored two runs while going 2-for-4.

With the victory, Columbia Central broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 8-3. As for East Hickman County, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season.

Columbia Central will take on Shelbyville Central at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Columbia Central is facing Shelbyville Central at the right time seeing as Shelbyville Central is stuck on a six-game losing streak. We've got a battle between Eagles coming up.
