Overton is a perfect 3-0 against Harleton since February of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Overton Mustangs will challenge the Harleton Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. The two teams are strolling into their contests after big wins in their previous games.
Harleton will be up against a hot Overton squad: the team just extended their winning streak to five. Overton never let Carlisle get on the board and left with a 15-0 victory on Tuesday. Considering the Mustangs have won six matches by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Bryleigh Nelson was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowed only two hits over four innings pitched. Nelson was even better at the plate, firing off four doubles, two stolen bases, and four RBI while going 4-for-4. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in RBI.
In other batting news, Anna Perkins and Chelsea Jordan did most of the damage at the plate: Perkins went 3-for-4 with three doubles, four RBI, and one run, while Jordan went 1-for-2 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. Those three doubles gave Perkins a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Halle Mayfield, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.
Overton was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .577. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .308 or higher in seven consecutive games.
Fans were treated to a battle of the Wildcats on Friday. Harleton was the clear victors by a 17-1 margin over Waskom. Harleton hasn't had any issues with Waskom recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.
The team relied heavily on Maddi King, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and two doubles. She also snagged a stolen base, marking her first of the season. Zoey Ring was another key player, scoring two runs while going 1-for-4.
The victory got Overton back to even at 8-8-1. As for Harleton, their record now sits at 4-11.
Tuesday's contest might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Overton has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .528. However, it's not like Harleton struggles in that department as they've averaged .443. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
