Cocalico is 8-1 against Northern Lebanon since December of 2014, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Cocalico Eagles will head out on the road to challenge the Northern Lebanon Vikings at 7:30 p.m. Cocalico will be strutting in after a win while Northern Lebanon will be coming in after a defeat.
Cocalico scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They strolled past Donegal with points to spare, taking the game 67-53.
Northern Lebanon suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Friday. They were beaten by Lampeter-Strasburg 63-32. While losing is never fun, Northern Lebanon can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 554th, while Lampeter-Strasburg is ranked 208th).
Cocalico now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Northern Lebanon, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-7 record this season.
Everything went Cocalico's way against Northern Lebanon in their previous matchup back in December of 2023 as Cocalico made off with a 54-30 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Cocalico since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
