The Ketcham Indians waltzed into their contest on Wednesday with two straight wins but they left with three. They came out on top against Saunders Trades & Tech by a score of 65-54.
Despite the loss, Saunders Trades & Tech saw an underclassman step up: Alex Vazquez scored 28 points along with six rebounds and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of David Mitchell, who scored seven points along with three steals.
Ketcham's victory bumped their record up to 4-6. As for Saunders Trades & Tech, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-9.
Ketcham will look to defend their home court on Friday against Carmel at 6:30 p.m. Carmel knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past three games -- so hopefully Ketcham likes a good challenge. As for Saunders Trades & Tech, they will head out on the road to take on Peekskill at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Peekskill presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Saunders Trades & Tech in New York (Peekskill is ranked 36th, while Saunders Trades & Tech is ranked 665th).
