Their game last week wasn't at all kind to Estes Park, but their most recent contest may have softened the blow. They were the clear victor by a 29-6 margin over Sheridan. Estes Park were expected to win, but the margin was definitely larger than the state rankings had forecast.
Estes Park took a little while to warm up, but they followed up a slow first quarter with 14 points in the second. Sheridan put up 6, so the score was 14-6 at the half. The other side of the ball continued to do well for Estes Park in the second half and held Sheridan to 0 points. The win bumped Estes Park's record up to 2-1. The defeat dropped Sheridan's record to 1-3.
Next week Estes Park take on Clear Creek at 7:00 PM. Sheridan will have some time to rest before their next match, which is against Manual at Manual HS Homecoming in two weeks at 7:00 PM. Sheridan come in off of four low-scoring performances in a row, a trend the team is obviously eager to reverse.
