The Jefferson Area Falcons will head out on the road to face off against the Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin Lions at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Jefferson Area came out on top against Edgewood on Saturday thanks in part to the team's impressive seven-run fourth inning. The Falcons blew past the Warriors 12-1. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Falcons considering their one-run performance the match before.
Toby Dickson made a splash no matter where he played. He tossed three innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. Jefferson Area is undefeated when Dickson allows one or fewer earned runs, but 6-8 otherwise. Dickson was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with one stolen base and one run.
