NorthWood dropped their record down to 4-3 on Monday, which also ended the team's three-game streak of wins. They fell 13-9 to the Concord Minutemen. In other batting news, NorthWood got a massive performance out of Payton Sears, who fired off two home runs and five RBI while going 2-for-5. Those home runs were Sears' first of the season. Megan Yoder was another key player, getting on base in four of her five plate appearances with four stolen bases, four runs, and one triple.
As for Concord, their victory bumped their record up to 4-2. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for they considering their one-run performance the match before.
On Concord's side, Esmeralda Perez was a standout: she went 3-for-4 with three runs, three RBI, and one triple. Those three RBI gave Perez a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Cassi Reames, who went 3-for-4 with three runs, two doubles, and two RBI.
