Lakeva Applewhite was the offensive standout of the matchup as she scored 22 points along with 7 rebounds and 3 steals. That makes it two consecutive games in which she has scored at least 25% of Bluff City's points. Asya Wood was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with 5 rebounds.
The victory got Bluff City back to even at 1-1. As for Raleigh-Egypt, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-2.
Bluff City will head out on the road to face off against Memphis Academy of Science and Engineering at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Raleigh-Egypt, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Harding Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
