The Lexington Minutemen waltzed into their matchup on Thursday with two straight wins but they left with three. They walked away with a 40-32 victory over Fisher. That's another feather in the cap for Lexington, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Fisher's loss came despite strong showings from Melina Luyando and Jenna Clemmons. Luyando scored 13 points, while Clemmons scored eight points along with eight rebounds. Clemmons is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down eight or more in the last three games she's played.
Lexington's win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 12-13. As for Fisher, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-13.
Lexington will head out on the road to take on Deer Creek-Mackinaw at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Fisher, they will look to defend their home court on Saturday against Cissna Park at 10:00 a.m.
