In what's become a running theme this season, the Marie Philip Galloping Ghosts gave their fans yet another huge win on Sunday. They breezed by Kansas School for the Deaf on the road to the tune of 61-28. The victory was nothing new for Marie Philip as they're now sitting on seven straight.
Marie Philip was led to victory by Xavier DeLeon and Jeremy Novas. DeLeon scored 22 points along with eight steals, while Novas dropped a double-double on 28 points and 11 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Novas has scored all season.
Kansas School for the Deaf's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Tyler McCallum, who scored nine points along with five assists, and Orlando Cobos-Sosa who scored nine points along with six rebounds.
Marie Philip's win bumped their record up to 14-1. As for Kansas School for the Deaf, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-2.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Marie Philip on the road again on Thursday and play against Chapel Hill-Chauncy Hall at 4:00 p.m. on January 18th. As for Kansas School for the Deaf, they will challenge Ozanam at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Ozanam is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 54.2 points per game.
