On the hitting side, Sabrina Nutter was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April of 2024. Paige Houghton also deserves some recognition as she launched her first home run of the season.

Meanwhile, Jefferson won against Keyser on Friday with 14 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Monday. The Cougars didn't even let Hedgesville on the board, marking the Cougars' second-straight 14-0 shutout. The victory was nothing new for the Cougars as they're now sitting on three straight.
The team relied heavily on Chloe Cowan, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one triple. The team also got some help courtesy of Jersey Rummel, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
Jefferson's win was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 11-2. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.8 runs over those games. As for Spring Mills, their record now sits at 12-5.
Tuesday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Spring Mills hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .346. However, it's not like Jefferson struggles in that department as they've averaged .318. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Spring Mills might still be hurting after the 12-4 loss they got from Jefferson when the teams last played on April 2nd. Can the Cardinals avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
