In what's become a running theme this season, the Willow Spring Storm gave their fans yet another huge victory on Tuesday. They blew past Southeast Raleigh 49-27. Given Willow Spring's advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 29th, while Southeast Raleigh is ranked 105th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Willow Spring to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kayleen Grullon, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 15 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Korin Gladden, who scored 13 points along with five rebounds and five steals.
The victory makes it two in a row for Willow Spring and bumps their season record up to 14-3. As for Southeast Raleigh, their loss dropped their record down to 11-5.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Cleveland the next time they take the court. Willow Spring will host Cleveland at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, while Southeast Raleigh will host them at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
