The Washington-Wilkes Tigers will head out on the road to take on the Warren County Screaming Devils at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Tuesday, Washington-Wilkes earned a 52-40 victory over Lake Oconee Academy.
Meanwhile, Warren County entered their tilt with Jasper County with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Warren County strolled past Jasper County with points to spare on Saturday, taking the game 67-49.
Warren County can attribute much of their success to Ra'Quavian Jones, who scored 13 points along with nine rebounds and five assists, and Darius Hill, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 12 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Hill has scored all season. Jamarion Darden was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with five rebounds.
Washington-Wilkes is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 5-9 record this season. As for Warren County, they pushed their record up to 12-5 with that win, which was their sixth straight at home.
Washington-Wilkes took a serious blow against Warren County in their previous matchup back in February of 2023, falling 66-30. Can Washington-Wilkes avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
