Byers put another one in the bag  on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They claimed a resounding  48-18 victory over the Clear Creek Golddiggers at home. Fans of the Bulldogs have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 20+  point.
 Byers had a senior duo take command as  Kaleb Willoughby gained 129 total yards and three touchdowns and  Chase Long threw for 216 yards and four touchdowns on only ten passes. That's the most  rushing yards  Long has posted since  back in October of 2023. Another player making a difference was  Cameron Eastwood, who picked up 102 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
 Byers wouldn't let Clear Creek keep a hold of the ball as they managed to force three fumbles. Byers can thank  Jack Earl and  Long for forcing all of them.
 Byers' win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Clear Creek, their  defeat was their first of the  season and  makes their record 2-1.
 Both  teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Byers will head out to  face off against Belleview Christian  at 11:00  a.m.  on Saturday. Byers knows how to get  points on the board -- the  squad has finished with 31 point or more in their past three games -- so hopefully Belleview Christian likes a good challenge. As for Clear Creek, they will get a bit of extra time to process the  loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on St. Mary's at 7:00  p.m.  on September 27th.
