The Stillwater Warriors will take on the Galway Golden Eagles at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams are coming into the matchup red-hot, with Stillwater sitting on six straight wins and Galway on eight.
Stillwater is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 16-8 margin over Granville. The result was nothing new for the Warriors, who have now won nine contests by eight runs or more so far this season.

| 04/28/25 @ Emma Willard | 4 |

Eden Resch made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out seven batters over seven innings while giving up six earned (and two unearned) runs off 11 hits. Resch was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, seven RBI, and three runs. Those seven RBI gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, Stillwater let Katie Coogan and Sofia Perniciaro run wild. Coogan went 4-for-5 with three runs, one double, and one RBI, while Perniciaro got on base in four of her six plate appearances with five runs and two RBI. That's the most hits Coogan has posted since back in April. Eva Thompson was another key player, going 2-for-5 with two RBI, one run, and one double.
Stillwater always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .574. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Granville only posted an OBP of .333.
Meanwhile, Galway got themselves on the board against Maple Hill on Tuesday, but Maple Hill never followed suit. They came out on top against the Wildcats by a score of 5-0.
Galway's victory was their 19th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 19-3. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.5 runs over those games. As for Stillwater, their record now sits at 12-6.
Stillwater came out on top in a nail-biter against Galway in their previous meeting back in May of 2023, sneaking past 3-2. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Warriors since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
