After flying high against the Port Allen Pelicans last Friday, the West Feliciana Saints came back down to earth. West Feliciana's rough 69-47 loss to Windermere Prep on Thursday might stick with them for a while. West Feliciana found out winning isn't easy when you make nine fewer threes than your opponent.
West Feliciana lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Arieonia Ebbs, who scored 19 points. The match was Ebbs' seventh in a row with at least ten points. Sanaya Berry was another key contributor, scoring 13 points.
Zoe Sedo continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Windermere Prep, scoring 18 points along with eight steals and seven rebounds. Sedo is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last five games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Morgan Bridges, who scored five points along with eight rebounds and six steals.
West Feliciana has fallen quite a ways from their 31-8 record last season and are now at 5-8. As for Windermere Prep, the victory was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-3.
West Feliciana is on the road again on Friday and play against Suncoast at 12:00 p.m. on January 5th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in their respective states (Suncoast is ranked 180th in Florida, while West Feliciana is ranked 181st in Louisiana). Windermere Prep won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Hagerty at 1:30 p.m. on January 5th.
