Softball Recap: Dos Palos Has No Trouble Against Lindsay

Dos Palos never got on the board in their matchup on Saturday, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against Lindsay on Saturday. They put the hurt on the Cardinals with a sharp 10-0 victory. Considering the Broncos have won seven matches by more than five runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Breann Raney was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out seven over four innings pitched. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 3-for-3.

In other batting news, Liliana DelaRosa was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing three bases while going 3-for-3. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Athena Correa, who scored two runs while going 2-for-2.

Dos Palos hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They are a perfect 5-0 when they post two or more strikeouts.

Dos Palos has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a massive bump to their 8-7-1 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.7 runs over those games. As for Lindsay, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-11-1 record this season.

Dos Palos wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, an 11-0 victory against Roosevelt on the 15th. As for Lindsay, they have also already played their next game, a 17-0 loss against Mariposa County on the 15th.
