The Sotomayor WILDCATS were handed a three-point loss in their last matchup, but they sure didn't let that happen against the Taft Raiders on Saturday. Sotomayor simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Raiders 73-44 on the road. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Sotomayor also won the last time the pair played back in January.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Sotomayor to victory, but perhaps none more so than Latrell Hoover, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and 18 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Hoover has scored all season. Jasiah Saunders was another key contributor, almost dropping a triple-double on 16 points, nine rebounds, and 12 assists.
The win got Sotomayor back to even at 15-15. As for Taft, they are on a 15-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-23.
Sotomayor will be playing in front of their home fans against the Bears at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Brennan knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past 23 games -- so hopefully the WILDCATS like a good challenge. As for Taft, they will head out on the road to square off against the Huskies at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Holmes is on a six-game streak of home losses, the Raiders a seven-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck is about to change.
