If the MaxPreps state rankings hold true, the near future looks bright for Center. On Friday they take on Van Horn at 7:00 PM. After both teams made easy work of their previous opponents, one of them is set up to suffer a discouraging change of fortune.
Center had a rough outing against Lafayette two weeks ago, but a little bit of home cooking seems to have fixed things right up. Center made easy work of Oak Grove last Friday and carried off a 36-13 win.
Meanwhile, everything went Van Horn's way against Bishop Ward as the squad secured a 58-0 victory.
Their wins bumped Van Horn to 3-0 and Center to 1-1. Keep an eye on the score for this one: both teams put up some lofty point totals in their previous games, so things might heat up even more when they meet up.
