Mt. Zion came out on top against Mahomet-Seymour on Saturday thanks in part to Ana Kanemaru's efforts. Kanemaru wasn't messing around, getting on base in two of her four plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. The match was her fifth straight with at least one stolen base.

Kanemaru's strong effort led Mt. Zion over Mahomet-Seymour and she'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Braves are 8-2 against the Bulldogs going back to April of 2019, a lead they'll look to extend.
