Houston Christian moved up to 244 from 285 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in Southwest Prep - South. The Mustangs were able to make move up by losing to Kinkaid 42-20.
Trinity Valley fell to Episcopal 47-14 last week, the largest margin of any game. John Cleveland was a bright spot for the Trojans, as he caught 5 passes for 75 yards in the defeat.
Tres Allen and Brandon Hawkins gave St. Andrew's a balanced attack in passing and rushing last week. Allen threw for 230 yards and 2 touchdowns, while Hawkins ran for 135 yards. Teammate Andrew McLnvale added to the ground attack by rushing for 21 yards.
Allen and Hawkins gave the Crusaders a balanced attack through the air and ground last week.
He was 17-22 with 1 interceptions.
Cleveland was the best receiver in the league this week as Trinity Valley fell to the Knights. Benji Vasquez helped Trinity Valley's passing attack out by catching 4 balls for 23 yards.
Hawkins was the most successful running back in the league this week.
Allen put up the best numbers through the air as St. Andrew's lost to St. John's. Allen's favorite target this week was Ross Milvenan, who caught 4 passes for 66 yards.
6-foot-2 quarterback Cameron Matthews of Aaron Mattox's team is the league leader in passing yards this season with 397. He has also thrown 3 touchdowns. The leading receiver in the league this season is John Clarke. The Houston Christian star has 10 catches for 265 yards.
At the moment, the Falcons are in second, while Fort Worth Country Day is in third.
Houston Christian made the biggest leap in the national rankings this week, rising to 2,124 from 2,511. The improvement came about via a 42-20 victory over Max Bowman's team last week.
