The Greene Trojans won the last time they faced the Walton Warriors, and things went their way on Tuesday too. Greene simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Walton 60-30 at home. The win made it back-to-back wins for Greene.
Walton lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Grace Walley, who scored 11 points along with seven rebounds and three blocks. Walley scored a full 36.7% of Walton's points, the sixth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Greene's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Walton, they bumped their record down to 4-2 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season.
Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing Bainbridge-Guilford the next time they take the court. Walton will host Bainbridge-Guilford at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, while Greene will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on January 9, 2024.
