Volleyball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Lower Merion

Lower Merion had to skate by with only a one-set margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the three-set drubbing they dealt Upper Darby on Monday. The Aces were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Royals. The victory was nothing new for the Aces as they're now sitting on three straight.

The match finished with set scores of 25-8, 25-16, 25-13.

Sophia Guglielmo paced Lower Merion's offense, picking up ten kills. Guglielmo got some help from Stevie Rothberg and her 17 assists. Guglielmo was also solid from the service line: she led the team with eight aces.

Lower Merion's win bumped their record up to 9-10. As for Upper Darby, they are on a 20-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-9.

Looking ahead, Lower Merion will host Central at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Upper Darby, they will take on Friends' Central at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
