Mercer Christian Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Kayley Trump, who scored 23 points along with 5 assists and 4 steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which Trump has scored at least 25% of Mercer Christian Academy's points. Another player making a difference was Bailee Martin, who scored 19 points along with 6 steals.
Cross Lanes Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Mercer Christian Academy, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cross Lanes Christian will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against Mount Hope Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on December 5th. Hopefully Mount Hope Christian Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 37 on Tuesday. As for Mercer Christian Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against Greater Beckley Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
